Phenomenological material model for damage in steel?fiber reinforced high performance concrete during low cycle fatigue

چکیده

A phenomenological material model is developed to understand the pseudo-ductile behavior of steel fiber reinforced high performance concrete (HPC) during failure. In that respect, an energy function formulated using additive composition a transversal isotropic elasto-plastic and phase-field representing individual fibers material, respectively. Comparing experimental data numerical results three-point bending beam tests at low cycle for HPCs, efficiency presented verified.

Damage Simulation of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete

The simulation of damage and failure in short fiber reinforced composites like high performance hybrid-fiber reinforced cement composites is still a challenging task, due to the richness of failure mechanisms introduced by fibers on the mesoscale of the material. Randomly oriented, hooked steel fibers, like the Baekaert Dramix® fibers, sustainable modify the macroscopic failure behavior of the ...

Low Cycle Fatigue Behavior of Concrete with Recycled Concrete Aggregates

A comparison of concrete containing recycled concrete coarse aggregates and natural coarse aggregates subjected to high strain, low cycle compressive fatigue is presented. Using a strain based feedback control loop, concrete cylinders are compressed at 15µε/s to a specified strain then unloaded to zero stress for 10 cycles. After cycling, all samples are loaded to a strain of 0.008. Direct conc...

High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites as Durable Material for Concrete Structure Repair

This paper addresses the property requirements of repair materials for high durability performance for concrete structure repair. It is proposed that the high tensile strain capacity of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites (HPFRCC) makes such materials particularly suitable for repair applications, provided that the fresh properties are also adaptable to those required in p...

Damage-Based Seismic Performance Evaluation of Reinforced Concrete Frames

A damage-based approach for the performance-based seismic assessment of reinforced concrete frame structures is proposed. A new methodology for structural damage assessment is developed that utilizes response information at the material level in each section fiber. The concept of the damage evolution is analyzed at the section level and the computed damage is calibrated with observed experiment...

Coupled Plastic Damage Model for Low and Ultra-low Cycle Seismic Fatigue

This paper presents the theoretical framework for a coupled plastic damage constitutive model valid for materials subjected to cyclic loads that lead to low and ultra-low cycle fatigue. Two numerical examples were presented in order to illustrate the behaviour of the model and its capabilities.
